Abstract

The real-time estimation of vehicle tyre friction is a importance issue for the complex automotive control system. In order to improve the computational performance of the estimation of vehicle tyre friction, a novel scheme in verilog language is proposed based on FPGA. The parallelism of the estimation algorithm is analyzed, and the overall system design diagram for FPGA implementation is represented based on the analysis results. A testing platform is introduced to evaluate the functionality and computational performance of the implementation schedule. The experimental results show that the proposed implementation schedule in verilog language based on FPGA has high precision and computational efficiency for tyre friction estimation.
