Abstract

In order to satisfy imperative requirement of the monitoring and control of the health state, an approach that can be used to estimate and control the fluid pressure of an oil pipeline has been proposed based on the neighboring stable equilibrium point theory. The core work is to modelling the flow dynamic equation of the oil pipeline and by which one the mathematic mechanism for identifying and controlling the fluid pressure can be given. A framework procedure which can be used to monitor and control the pressure and the temperature of the oil pipeline has been derived based on analyzing the relationship of the fluid pressure to the fluid velocity and sampled surface temperature off line. Actual experiment shows that the fluid pressure can be controlled within safety threshold by changing the oil temperature which associated with the heating current and realized by developed heating inverter. It can provide a reference for monitoring and controlling the health state of an oil pipeline.
