Abstract

Agile Virtual Enterprise (AVE) is a new concept and mode of manufacturing enterprises which want to take advantage of 21st century market opportunities. Distribution and Coordination are the main characteristics of AVE. There are lots of problems that need solving by the technique of computer simulation during the period of building AVE. The simulation tools or environments that were used to simulate AVE should support to simulate the properties of distribution and coordination. The technologies of Agent and agent-oriented simulation coincide with this need. So, we developed the architecture that supports constructing agent-oriented distributed simulation for AVE. This architecture bases on the technologies of CORBA, Agent, KQML etc.
