Aerodynamic and side jet compound control system design of intercept missiles using LPV techniques

Abstract

The compound control system of an intercept missile by means of combining the traditional aerodynamic control with reaction jets control is studied in this paper. Firstly, a LPV (linear parameter-varying) model is constructed, then, a linear parameter-varying aerodynamic controller is designed. At last, the design of the reaction jets control and switching instant of time is given, and simulation research is conducted. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
