N2 - In this paper, a direct hit-to-kill guidance law based on adaptive generalized super-twisting algorithm (GSTA) is proposed to intercept a highly maneuverable target. On the basis of switching logic, firstly, a novel gain adaption law (GAL) is designed to adjust the gains of GSTA on line, whose stability are analyzed via a strict Lyapunov function. Then, on the idea of equivalent control, the adaptive GSTA is used to design the discontinuous part of the guidance command, which can dynamically compensate the target's maneuverable acceleration and force the normal relative velocity converge to the vicinity of zero in finite time. Simulation results show that the miss distance is small enough to satisfy the conditions of direct hit-to-kill, and that the guidance law is robust to the target's maneuver.
