Abstract
In this paper, global uniform asymptotical stability for an adaptive controller applied to discrete linear time varying systems subject to unmodelled dynamics is established by using a proposed stability robustness result, under the condition that the parameters of the system vary within a known convex compact set C, and the unmodelled dynamics is bounded by the product of a constant number c and the norm of the regression vector. It is proved that the adaptive control algorithm is globally stable provided that this constant number c and the 'volume' of set C are sufficiently small.
