Active pressure boosting based electro-hydraulic braking control for electric vehicle

Abstract

Regenerative braking is a key technology related to energy-saving and safety of electric vehicles. This paper presents an active pressure boosting based electro-hydraulic braking control method, which is verified by test bench and road tests of experiment vehicle. Firstly, the hydraulic characteristic of the active pressure boosting as well as its control is tested on the hydraulic braking test bench. Further, an implement case for regenerative braking control, based on active pressure boosting, is developed. Finally, both hardware-in-the-loop system and experiment vehicle are utilized for test, and the results demonstrate the feasibility of regenerative braking control using active pressure boosting.
