Abstract

Brake-by-wire system is the key technology for autonomous vehicles. This paper presents a deceleration control method considering the nonlinearity and uncertainty of the electric master cylinder. Firstly, the deceleration control is transferred to the hydraulic pressure control problem of the master cylinder, and a sliding mode controller is designed. Considering the uncertain relationship between the deceleration and the hydraulic pressure, a feedforward-feedback method is used to calculate reference value for the hydraulic pressure and form a closed loop of deceleration. Finally, as a high-precision vehicle dynamics simulation software, veDYNA is utilized for test.
