Abstract

Scramjet engine uses active cooling method for coolant system. How to improve cooling efficiency and reduce the fuel consumption is important now. In this article, one heat transfer enhancement method for cooling analysis was presented based on constant wall temperature. An optimized calculation scheme was developed for the imbalance of burning flow rate and coolant flow rate on scramjet engines' active cooling system. Using alterable nozzle flow rate on three points and alterable fuel equability rate, the method can get approving results. The fuel consumption can reduce 30% after optimization. The study results show that the height of ribs and roughness of cooling channel were important in active cooling design.
