Abstract

YAG crystal is successfully brazed with Cu using active filler AgCuInTi. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the brazed joints are investigated. The effects of brazing time and holding time on the interfacial microstructure and joint mechanical strength are studied. The joints brazed at 600 °C for 20 min are found to show the highest shear strength of 38.3 MPa, reaching 79.6% of the YAG base material.
