Abstract

In order to improve the precision of the space target optical characteristic calculation method, a verification and validation method for parameters of optical characteristic calculation model based on the target scale-model experiments is proposed. Firstly, the main influencing factors of the optical characteristics are analyzed, and the verification and validation scheme of the calculation model is proposed. Secondly, the experimental system is designed and the optical characteristics of two kind of targets are gained. Finally, the verification and validation algorithm is built up and parameters of the target surface materials and the geometryical construction are verified and validated step by step. It is showed that the results gained by the calculation model after verification and validation are close to the experimental results statistically. This verification and validation method can meet the requirement of short-range optical navigation.
