Abstract

In this paper, a MIMO antenna array for 5G mobile terminal is proposed. The antenna bandwidth was broadened by opening either L-shaped slot or square slot in the ground plate. The covering bandwidth of the antenna array is 3.3GHz-3.6GHz and 4.8GHz-5GHz. CST software was used to simulate and optimize the parameters of the designed antenna array. The prototype antenna was manufactured and tested. The performance of the simulation shows that the proposed antenna array can be used in 5G mobile terminals.
