Abstract

Particle Impact Noise Detection is one of the most important methods in detecting remainders within space relays, and effective activation of the remainders is vital for the detection. In this paper, the electrostatic adherence and contact electrification of remainders were analyzed using the principles of electrostatics and kinetics. The strained condition of electrostatic adherent remainders was examined. It shows that the peak of the vibration acceleration and the acceleration generated by the electricity image force are the key elements for remainder activation, based on which an activation condition of remainders under vibration test was explored. Experimental results showed that the remainders could adhere on the space relays due to static electricity, and the assumption of activation conditions was verified.
