Abstract

Weld appearance is one of the key factors influencing the welding quality. This research focused on modeling the weld geometry morphology of underwater FCAW in shallow water environment based on the mathematical software MATLAB. Using the orthogonal test method, the mathematical model of welding parameters (voltage, current, and welding speed) and weld geometry morphology (width, and reinforcement) were established. Then the relationship between welding parameters and weld geometry morphology was discussed by using the results.
