Abstract

On the basis of summing up the research experiences of predecessors the authors have proposed an optimum energy balancing point, optimum cost-effective balancing point and presented the method for calculating the various balancing points. In addition, a corresponding mathematical model is also set up. With Beijing municipality being taken as an example the temperature of two kinds of different balancing points is calculated along with pertinent explanations. The above can serve as a guide for engineers involved in the design and calculation of water heater/chiller units.
