Abstract

In this paper, we propose a multichannel MAC protocol used in the distributed cognitive radio wireless network. The protocol not only carries out the channel, rate and power allocation algorithm according to the QoS requirements and environments that different secondary users have, but also solves the hidden stations and exposed stations problems. Through the simulation results based on the OPNET, we can easily get the conclusion that the protocol can efficiently limit the harmful interference to the primary users and enhance the throughput of the cognitive radio network and spectrum efficiency greatly.
