Abstract
In this letter, we propose an extended hybrid carrier system to achieve reliable wireless communication. The proposed scheme extends the power distribution design of the hybrid carrier system by multi-component construction. On this basis, the weighting coefficients are derived to satisfy the equal gain criterion. Since the extended hybrid carrier signal realizes uniform power distribution in the time-frequency plane, it has better capability to compensate channel and average the distortion power, which provides advantages on anti-fading performance. Simulation results show that, compared with the existing hybrid carrier schemes, the proposed scheme obtains better bit error rate performance over doubly selective channels.
