Abstract

Highlights The state of the art of the thermophotovoltaic (TPV) generation on heat recovery is highlighted. At the system level, representative results of TPV systems and components are compiled. At the application level, feasibility of TPV in high-temperature industrial applications is exhibited. Key points of TPV systems to improve energy conversion efficiency are further analyzed.
