Abstract

The functionalization of a pre-formed, high oxidation state {Ce ^IVMn^IV₆} cluster with a lacunary phosphotungstate, [α-P₂W₁₅O₅₆] ^12-, exemplifies a straightforward route for grafting redox-active building blocks to existing Mn-carboxylate clusters and modeling their deposition onto metal oxide surfaces.
