Abstract

The functionalization of a pre-formed, high oxidation state {Ce IVMnIV6} cluster with a lacunary phosphotungstate, [α-P2W15O56] 12-, exemplifies a straightforward route for grafting redox-active building blocks to existing Mn-carboxylate clusters and modeling their deposition onto metal oxide surfaces.
