Abstract

Ptychography iterative engine (PIE) is an emerging coherent diffraction imaging method to extend the field of view. PIE requires a series of diffraction patterns and takes plenty of time in object reconstruction. We propose a parallel PIE method based on co-start region path to decrease reconstruction time. The reconstruction path can output high-quality images without complex image stitching operations. Moreover, the quality of reconstructed images from the parallel PIE is equivalent of that with PIE. In this parallel method, the computational time is separated and reduced by about 1/N, where N is the number of sub-images making up the entire image. The proposed method could speed up calculation greatly by using existing equipment, which is significant to fast imaging in optical system.
