Abstract

The underwater wireless charging technology provides a feasible way to solve the problem of traditional power supply method of unmanned underwater vehicle. In this paper, an arc-shaped underwater wireless charging magnetic coupling mechanism is proposed, which is suitable for the curved shell of unmanned underwater vehicles. Different from the traditional wireless charging magnetic coupling mechanism, the proposed mechanism uses Fe-based nanocrystalline alloy soft magnetic material as the magnetic core. Compared with the traditional Mn-Zn ferrite material, both volume and weight of the receiver are reduced. A prototype of underwater wireless power transfer system of 320mm diameter is built, and transferred 3kW in the experiment with a 93.88% AC-DC efficiency.
