N2 - In this paper, a novel design and analysis method for the output filter of high-speed drive, namely the LCCR filter, is proposed. Due to the inserted resistor and capacitor branch, the damping coefficient can be assigned in the filter design stage. However, the many parameters influencing the performance of the filter are tightly coupled, making the design process difficult. This paper proposed a novel way to decouple the interdependence of the parameters. Firstly, the factors influencing the shape of the frequency response of the filter is discussed. Based on the results, a new set of design parameters is used to control the design process of the filter, making the design more controllable. The influences of the new design parameters are fully discussed. Finally, simulation and experimental study are conducted, the results proved the effectiveness of the proposed design method.
