Abstract

This paper proposes a non-resonant method of excitation of an electrodeless lamp on the basis of microwave energy. This method allows to obtain a lighting system at the expense of forming a standing wave on the basis of two oncoming travelling electromagnetic waves in a waveguide in the region of location of an electrodeless lamp. The said lighting system is more simple for realizing a stable, reliable and lasting operation mode.
