Abstract

This paper presents a non-curved broadband high-gain antipodal Vivaldi antenna, which can realize stable high gains in the entire operating band by the novel structure of a pair of trunk-branches shaped linear radiators. The simulated results through CST software indicates that the impedance bandwidth of S11 -9dB is 2.3GHz-7.57GHz (106.7%) with the gains of 9.3712.6 dBi. The maximum HPBW of 70° shows good direction. The radiation efficiency of the antenna is from 74.7% to 94.1%, and the reason for the high gain of the broadband is also analyzed.
