Abstract

This paper presents a miniaturized dual-band implantable antenna designed for biomedical applications. The proposed antenna operates at 1.03 GHz and 2.43 GHz, featuring a modified microstrip patch structure with a W-shaped slot to achieve dual-band resonance and an L-shaped slot to adjust the impedance matching. The antenna occupies a compact area of 5 × 5 × 0.705 mm3 and achieves impedance bandwidths of 140 MHz and 130 MHz at the respective resonant frequencies. This combination of compact dimensions and dual-band performance makes the design particularly suitable for use in biomedical applications.
