Abstract

This paper presents a magneto-mechanical strong coupled model for giant magnetostrictive force sensor. According to the model and the measured magnetic characteristic of giant magnetostrictive material, the input-output relation for the force sensor is calculated by means of the finite element method. A comparison between the calculated result and measured one is carried out and it is found that they are in agreement well.
