Abstract

In this paper, a wideband multi-polarized dielectric rod antenna is proposed. By employing the orthomode transducer (OMT) feeding structure which is realized by using ridged waveguides, the impedance bandwidth of the antenna is widened effectively and the multi-polarized radiation performance is achieved. The antenna can be operated in dual polarization in the frequency range of 21-34 GHz, while operated in circularly polarization (AR < 3 dB) in the frequency range of 29.9-30.2 GHz. The antenna can be used in satellite and 5G communications.
