Abstract

The paper presents a stable route measurement algorithm based on the information entropy of wireless logic links to reduce the control load cost and energy consumption, generated by frequent route reconstruction and maintenance because of route broken in the dynamic mobile ad hoc networks. The algorithm analyzes the uncertainty of the wireless link state to characterize the stability of the networks nodes during networks running, and selects stable nodes as transmission nodes during route establishing. The simulation results show that the algorithm as a normalized metric can be used to establish a stable route, to improve the key indicators of mobile ad hoc networks including the packet delivery ratio and the packet end-to-end delay.
