Abstract
Abstract—High-frequency electric field measurements with a regular receiving dipole with poor electrode contact are greatly influenced by capacitive currents between the wires and the ground. At the same time, noncontact receiving dipoles are not generally suitable for low-frequency electric field measurements. We introduce a novel hybrid galvanic-capacitive receiving dipole, which could be used for broadband electric field measurement, even with high contact resistance of grounded electrodes.
