abstract = "This paper proposes a novel hybrid fully distributed generation dispatch approach to optimally allocate the continually changing load demand among multiple distributed generators (DGs) in the distribution network. The proposed hybrid approach is implemented based on the Alternating Direction Method with Multiplier (ADMM) algorithm for optimizing DG output in the outer loop, meanwhile the consensus algorithm is introduced to locally estimate the unbalance between the power generation and the demand of whole system in the inner loop. It only requires local computations and communications between neighboring DGs, which reduces the computational and communication burden. The proposed approach has been thoroughly tested on a distribution network consisting of one coal generator and 12 DGs with output limit. Comparative results with the conventional centralized economic dispatch algorithm have proved the accuracy and validity of the hybrid fully distributed generation dispatch approach to optimize DG output.",
