Abstract

In this paper, a very high frequency inverter that consists of a main Class E circuit and an additional paralleled Class E circuit is proposed, which helps to realize zero voltage switching and zero current switching simultaneously. A detailed model analysis and parameter derivation is carried out, and a simulation is performed at 13.56 MHz. switching frequency. Compared to traditional topology, the proposed structure and design method provides a a soft switching effect at both turn on and off instants, thus ensuring higher efficiency.
