A hand gesture recognition system based on 24GHz radars

Abstract

This paper presented a gesture recognition system for human-computer interaction based on 24GHz radars. We describe this system designed for frequently used gesture detection like hand pushing, hand pulling, hand lifting and hand shaking. Decision tree was established to classify these original signals into the four sets of gestures. Through a set of tests on this gesture-recognition system, we proposed that this system could achieve an overall accuracy rate higher than 92%.
