N2 - A simple defected isolation wall is proposed for giving an enhanced isolation between a closely installed patch antenna and a microstrip transmission line (TL). The distance between the patch antenna and TL is set to be 2mm. For obtaining a lower mutual coupling between the used antenna and the TL, a G-shaped defected isolation wall is designed and vertically placed between the used patch antenna and TL. The simulation results gave a conformation that the mutual coupling is decreased by 25 dB, and the performance of the patch antenna and microstrip transmission line are not affected.
