A Family of Enhanced Quasi-Z-Source Converter with Switched Inductor

Abstract

A family of quasi-Z-source converters is proposed in this paper, which can be utilized in the photovoltaic modules and other applications demanding high voltage conversion. The converters retain the advantage of quasi-Z-source like common ground between the input and output as well as the superiorities of enhanced boost abilities and lower stresses. This paper presents the mathematical analysis of the converters and their performance comparison with other converters in detail. Finally, a 100W prototype is constructed and the experimental results are provided to verify the performance and feasibility.
