Abstract

A novel electric machine type with dual-rotor structure called Electrical Variable Transmission (EVT) was proposed in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) transmission application, whose speed difference of two shafts should be detected in real time for inner motor's vector control. This paper proposed one detection method based on salient outer rotor variable reluctance resolver work with ring transformer, and the RDC board based on AD2S1200 was built. The theoretical analysis, simulation and experimental results show that this method can be used in EVT's speed control system.
