Abstract

An ultra-wideband(UWB) multiple input and multiple output(MIMO) antenna consisting of complementary split-ring resonator(CSRR) to improve mutual coupling and split-ring resonator(SRR) is proposed in this paper for automotive communications. The UWB MIMO antenna has a compact size of 54×33mm2 including two parallel monopoles. The isolation of less than-15db is achieved from 3.1 to 10.6GHz by the SRR located between the two grounds. Moreover, to reject the interference from existing frequencies, the antenna exhibits dual band-notched characteristics at 5th generation band of 3.3-3.6GHz and 4.8-5GHz by applying CSRRs structures on the patch.
