Abstract

Microgrid is a crucial component of smart grid. It can effectively reduce the negative effects of increased connection of distributed generation. Microgrid has two kinds of operation mode: grid-connected model and island model. When the main network encounters a failure, microgird can function independently. The energy balance of supply and demand must be satisfied all by itself in an island model. This paper designs a multi-agent system (MAS) to realize a coordinate control stragegy for islanded microgrid, which makes it possible to maintain the balance of internal power and to manage the power supply of important load lines. This MAS consists of PCC agents (PA) and bus agents (BA). Every agent has the ability of acting independently based on the information it gets. They control the network through communication among BAs.
