N2 - The bridges monitored within one cluster is characterized by multiple device nodes, wide coverage, and dispersed locations. In order to improve the efficiency of system data transmission, this study proposes a monitoring method for wireless chain networking using device nodes. It not only reduces system construction costs, but also fully utilizes the characteristics of the monitoring system. Firstly, device nodes obtain information about neighboring nodes through channel detection and signal strength detection. Secondly, with the help of wireless data transmission methods, device nodes construct a data transmission protocol and extract a list of device nodes. Finally, a calculation method for optimal path of nodes is proposed to calculate the chain network path that includes all device nodes. This method effectively expands the data transmission distance of the monitoring system, improves data transmission efficiency and reduces the number of system device nodes used. This method fully meets the current and future needs for safety monitoring of bridge cluster structures.
