Abstract

This paper proposed the design of a new 24GHz transmitting/receiving antenna module for human hand gesture detection. The transmitting antenna consisted of 16 microstrip elements and the receiving part consisted of four independent microstrip arrays with 8 elements each in order to support multichannel signal receiving. This module had a dimension of 79.8×59 mm2and its performance was verified and proved to be satisfied with the pattern and portability required by human hand gesture detection.
