Abstract
In order to verify the potential problem of fretting wear and tangential contact stiffness between 45%SiCp/Al composites and TC4 for a satellite locking mechanism during launch, an equivalent sweep-frequency fretting wear test system is designed based on investigation and simulation in this paper. To ensure the consistency of major factor-contact stress, the holding force is calibrated firstly; the load condition of friction pair is simulated by sweep vibration, and the surface measurement of 45%SiCp/Al test sample is carried out before and after vibration experiments. The experimental result shows 45%SiCp/Al can bear relatively large load fretting wear with higher shape precision and surface roughness, and the joint surface of friction pair has good tangential contact stiffness.
