Abstract
Aiming at the problem that the uneven deformation of complex curved part for high strength aluminum alloy usually resulted in inhomogeneous mechanical properties and microstructure after heat treatment, the formability and deformation distribution of double curvature part were investigated on considering of the effect of blank holder shape, hydraulic loading and pre-bulging process,to provide theoretical guidance for improving the strengthening effect of deformation combined with heat treatment of complex curved parts. The results indicate that the deformation improvement on complex curved parts is very limited during hydro-mechanical deep drawing process, and the deformation uniformity of curved parts couldn't be increased by increasing hydraulic pressure with the plane blank holder. However,the curved blank holder is beneficial to improve the deformation uniformity of curved parts, and the average strain is less than 7.0%. The deep drawing with liquid as punch can increase the average strain of curved parts to magnitude of 7.5% to 10.6%, the deformation uniformity of curved parts cannot be increased with the improved hydraulic pressure. The deformation level and distribution uniformity can be increased remarkably by using optimized pre-bulging pressure during hydroforming process with liquid as punch.
