Abstract
Wind energy is a kind of clean energy with rich reserves and sustainable utilization in nature. It has been recognized in domestic and foreign academic and industrial fields that piezoelectric energy harvester(PEH) can take place traditional chemical battery to continuously supply power for low-power electronic equipment. For overcoming the time-varying characteristics of wind direction and velocity in nature, a novel orientation adaptive piezoelectric energy harvester based on vortex-induced vibration is proposed. The energy harvester can autonomously adjust the windward angle according to the change of wind direction. It mainly composes two L-shaped parts (EH1, EH2), bearing base, rotating fixed seat, and guide wing. And the prototype of the energy harvester is tested and analyzed: when excited by wind from different directions, γ is no more than 6.1%; Comparing close state of orientation adaptive, SAVG of open state is increased by 468.2% and 492.3% for EH1 and EH2 respectively. The results of the proposed orientation adaptive PEH have a good reference value for improving the environmental adaptability and output performance of harvesters.
