Abstract

As an environmentally friendly, efficient and near-net forming metal structural material manufacturing process, semi-solid processing technology has developed rapidly in the field of magnesium alloy lightweight materials in recent years. In this paper, the research progress of semi-solid processing technology of magnesium alloy at home and abroad is reviewed. The preparation methods of semi-solid slurry, rheoforming and thixoforming process and the application of numerical simulation technology are systematically introduced. The application prospects of semi-solid processing technology of magnesium alloy in new energy vehicles, aerospace and other fields are also discussed. The future research directions are pointed out, including the development of green and efficient pulping methods, the optimization of rheoforming process, the combination of surface treatment technology to improve the performance of thixoformed components, and the use of numerical simulation and artificial intelligence technology to promote process optimization, in order to provide theoretical basis and technical reference for the in-depth research and industrial application of this technology, and promote its large-scale application and high-quality development in more high-end manufacturing fields.
