Abstract
In order to improve the performance of traditional bolted CSFT column-steel beam joints, three CFST column-steel beam joints with flush endplate and long bolts were designed and tested in the scenario of column removal. The formation and development of bending mechanism and catenary mechanism in the joints were analyzed. Based on DoD standard, the anti-collapse rotation capacity of the specimens were evaluated. In addition, an equivalent dynamic analysis was also conducted. The analysis results show that the CFST column-steel beam joints with flush endplate and long bolts exerts good anti-collapse behavior. The match of endplate thickness and bolt diameter would affect the transition in joint from bending mechanism to catenary mechanism. A formula for the anti-collapse rotation acceptance of joint which takes the configuration details of joint into account was proposed. The dynamic increase factor in DoD standard could effectively describe the dynamic response of joint in bending mechanism while the influence of catenary mechanism was not considered.
