Abstract
Diamond optical window-related component is a class of optical device with different geometric structures that is synthesized by various methods such as microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition process, which can be used under extreme conditions due to its excellent optical properties, as well as its mechanical, thermal, electrical, and chemical properties. In this paper, the types, preparation, and processing of diamond optical components are reviewed based on the application of different kinds of optical components corresponding to different bands from X-ray,UV to microwave. The current research status is summarized, and the outlook of the future developments of this field is put forward.
