Abstract

Due to the phenomenon of local surface plasmon resonance, gold nanoparticles have significant photothermal effect. In recent years, with the need for accurate medical treatment and non-interventional tissue imaging, the photoacoustic effect of gold nanoparticles, as a photothermal derivative effect of gold nanoparticles, has been paid more and more attention. At present, the influence of the characteristics of gold nanoparticles on the photoacoustic effect has been studied, but the influence of pulsed laser characteristics on the photoacoustic effect has not been deeply discussed. Therefore, in this paper, the photothermal and photoacoustic responses of gold nanospheres under different pulse time and pulse influence are studied quantitatively. The results show that the increase of pulse time will decrease the maximum temperature rise of gold nanospheres and the maximum pressure of acoustic signals, and the increase of pulse influence will increase the maximum temperature rise and acoustic signals of gold nanospheres. The results can provide a reference for the selection of lasers based on photoacoustic imaging of gold nanoparticles.
