Abstract
The electric-drive-reconstructed onboard charger provides a new lightweight design idea for the electric part of electric vehicles, aiming to utilize the electric drive unit to perform driving and charging operations separately at different moments. Compared with three-phase electric drive systems, multi-phase ones possess several merits, such as smooth output torque and fault tolerance. In view of the above, this paper first summarizes the topologies and control strategies of the grid-connected multi-phase electric-drive-reconstructed onboard chargers. Besides, fault-tolerant operation schemes of the grid-connected multi-phase electric-drive-reconstructed onboard chargers are introduced. Then, the operating principle and control strategy of multi-energy interface electric-drive-reconstructed onboard chargers for solar-powered electric vehicles are analyzed emphatically. Finally, conclusions are made, and the development direction of the multi-phase electric-drive-reconstructed onboard charger is outlined.
