Abstract

The principle and progress of measurement technology based on melting point method, radiation method, resistance method, acoustic wave method and photography are introduced, the characteristics and shortcomings of the development of ablation recession measurement technology are analyzed from the embedded and non-embedded test schemes. At present, the online test of ablation recession is still mainly embedded solutions. To sum up, the resistance method is the best scheme to realize online recession testing. The non-embedded solutions are still some way from flight test, but they are gradually matured as a verification technology in ground test. More frequent interstellar entry missions will promote online recession test technology to achieve all-round improvement.
