Abstract

To solve the problem of self-supply of underwater sensors, a submersible wake-excited piezoelectric energy harvester (PEH) is proposed. Through the deduced mathematical model of the fluid-solid-electric coupling field of the PEH, combined with the finite element simulation model, the flow excitation force of the PEH is obtained. The simulation and experimental data are in good agreement, which verifies the correctness of the mathematical model and simulation. When the diameter of the vibrating column is 15 mm, increasing the diameter of the fixed column can effectively improve the output performance. When the distance between the two columns is 20 mm, the maximum output voltage of the PEH_05_15 is 23.36 V, which is 1.51 times the maximum output voltage of PEH_00_15. When the distance between the two columns is 15 mm, the maximum output voltage of PEH_05_20 is 41.85 V, which is 1.21 times higher than that of PEH_00_20.
