Abstract
Mission planning for service spacecraft inspecting multiple space targets in close proximity is investigated, and three types of targets to be inspected,namely,high-value spacecraft, ordinary spacecraft, and failed spacecraft or space debris, are considered. An evaluation system and a multi-constraint optimization model are constructed, considering the number and type of inspection targets, fuel consumption, impulsive velocity increase, and mission time limit. The design variables include the target allocation vector, inspection sequence vector, and inspection time vector. The SSc uses a four-impulse maneuver strategy to visit each target. The evolutionary algorithm is applied to solve the planning problem, and a local search strategy based on dynamic programming(DP)is proposed to optimize the inspection time and enhance the optimization efficiency. Finally, two examples with one type of target and mixed target are presented, illustrating the advantage of the proposed DP search strategy by comparing it with the results of traditional evolutionary algorithms.
